UNITY RE PAID A 950 000 USD CLAIM TO MEGARUSS-D, RUSSIA

On 06th November, 2012 Unity Re has settled a 950 000 USD claim under
the cargo facultative cover received from Russian insurance company
Megaruss-D.

The loss incurred in June, 2009 when a truck with electronic equipment
overturned in the Astrakhan region, in the South of Russia. The settlement
has become on of the largest in 2012 year.

Taking into consideration the significant loss amount, Unity Re paid the
recovery on the next day upon receiving a complete package of settlement
documents from the cedant.
